The role
The Scientific Communication team is responsible for providing scientific writing and documentation support for our Antibody Discovery, Translational Research, New Antibody Product Research and Antibody Research & Technology teams. The team is NL-based and embedded in the global Translational Research & Precision Medicine department.
As Scientific Writer, you contribute to the discovery and development of ground-breaking new cancer medicines and technologies. You will work in (global) multidisciplinary projects with expert teams to provide nonclinical documentation.
This is a replacement for 6 months with the possibility of an extension.
Responsibilities
- Leading and coordinating all Scientific Communication tasks within assigned Compound Development teams.
- Providing high-quality study reports and summaries of nonclinical and/or translational data for different purposes, such as regulatory submissions (IND, CTA, BLA, investigators brochures, etc.), patent applications, publications in scientific journals and competitive intelligence analyses.
- Supporting the publication strategy by generating scientific abstracts, posters, presentations, and manuscripts promptly.
- Working closely together with the team scientists on gathering profound knowledge of the therapeutic targets and antibody biology and create consultative advice for the wider team.
- Managing and coordinating documentation template, review, and approval processes.
- Contributing to the identification of new opportunities for Genmab’s pipeline and technology development through literature and database searches, and by keeping up to date with the field of antibody therapeutics.
Requirements
- PhD in science with expertise in immunology, antibody biology and/or (immuno-) oncology, combined with a strong talent in the writing of scientific documents.
- You have several years’ work experience in industry (biotech) or as a postdoc with scientific writing.
- Recent graduated PhD’s with experience in suitable area (antibody biology or immune oncology) and with an outstanding track record are also welcome to apply.
- Expertise in scientific writing with acknowledged high-quality standards for summarizing the essence of research data and intrinsic attention to details.
- Pro-active, flexible, and focused on achieving the goals set for the company and individual sub-teams.
- Open to feedback on your position and can adapt where necessary.
- Energized by working on several projects in parallel in an agile fast-paced organization and able to plan and prioritize appropriately.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
